The Deltana MB175U5 Mortise Bolt features a cup and a square neck design with sturdy construction. The holes are threaded for 3/8" machine screws. This product is constructed from strong 20 gauge steel, and has an antique brass finish that covers the entire product.

The MB175U5 is used to secure 2-3/8" to 3-1/2" thick wood, hollow metal (e.g. hollow steel doors) or hollow core doors to a jamb, wall, or floor. The bolt installs into a bore hole prepared in the door and rotates on a self-locking socket, securing itself against the door frame. This action relies upon friction instead of holding power which eliminates damage which can occur to the edge of the door if high holding power were used. ...
