Dominion: Nocturne
Arise, oh Lords of Dominion! Your nighttime powers are impressive indeed, but now you rise from your slumber even stronger! New cards in the General, Duchy, and Estate categories offer greater variety and more strategic twists as you advance your nocturnal ambitions. The new "Prize" card type offers ways to both enrich yourself and cripple your rivals. Play through a day game, then finish the night with a flourish in Dominion: Nocturne.
Play the cards you buy. Each turn, you can buy one card from the supply, or several if you're lucky. You can also play any cards in your hand. All Dominion cards are playable in Dominion: Nocturne.
Welcome to the Dominion: Nocturne expansion!
Rio Grande Games presents Dominion: Nocturne, an expansion to the base game of Dominion. Each player receives a new "Demonic Advisor" card that enables them to see two separate combat decks used by other players, making for even more strategic possibilities, especially with the new cards included. The expansion includes fortification tokens, additional rules for demon tokens, and a token organizer.
Be choosy, but not too choosy. The right supply cards can make the difference between a glorious victory and a costly defeat. Dominion: Nocturne contains 25 optional card sets that will expand Dominion into new directions—anywhere from 7 to 15 additional cards for any set in the game. This is not a stand-alone game. It is an expansion product that requires Dominion to play.
In Nocturne, you return to the Dominion game and play a larger game using bigger decks of cards. There are 50 different Kingdom cards available in the main set, plus an additional 54 cards in four separate promo packs (Apothecary, Rabble, Feast and Forge). Many of these cards allow you to gain abilities during the game that help you get ahead or hinder your opponents.
A new Dominion expansion, designed by Donald X. Vaccarino, adds a set of Actions to the game that both build upon and change the basic rules. In addition to these new Actions, Nocturne contains thirteen Kingdom cards that have a constant ability printed on them, at least one of which is always in play. These abilities interact with and alter your deck as you play it.
