The Dwyer Instruments TCS-4010 Thermo.Temp Series 4010 thermocouple temperature switch is a mechanical temperature indicating device. It contains a bimetallic coil that expands at a constant rate. The coil is wound around a shaft with contact wheels on each side, held in place by an electrical solder connection. As the bimetallic coil expands, the solder joint becomes weaker and eventually fails, causing the contact wheel(s) to brush against the cams.

The TCS Thermocouple Temperature Switch is designed to be used at the Thermocouple Input of the DLV1/TS and DLV4/TS Series Digital Manifold Pressure Transmitter without a Controller. It will allow the user to monitor and log up to 9 thermocouple temperatures from a single TCS 4010 Temperature Switch. This sensor has J, K, and S-type thermocouples built into one waterproof unit.

The TCS-4010 thermocouple temperature switch reads process temperatures in the J, K or S thermocouple range and displays the results. The pushbutton front panel has a flip-out label holder that provides easy identification of line voltage, polarity and thermocouple type.

This thermocouple temperature switch is used to monitor high temperature environments while providing a means to control actuators and/or alarms when preset high or low limits are reached. It can be used on J-, K-, and S-type thermocouples. The thermocouple temperature switch is non-intrusive and easily connects to the signal line of your equipment, generation set or transformer by means of a standard four pin plug.
