The Carrier® brand TXV Valve efficiently circulates the refrigerant through the outdoor unit heat exchanger. After the compressor at the outdoor unit draws in and pressurizes the refrigerant, it exits the outdoor unit via the TXV valve, which regulates the flow of refrigerant to the air handler.

Designed for easy use, this TXV valve is used to control refrigerant flow to an air conditioner. Can be installed on American Standard and Trane equipment, it protects the system against frost and flood damage.

This Carrier Air Conditioning TXV Valve is used on many Carrier and Coils Units.

Keep your energy costs down by ensuring your air conditioning system's outdoor coil remains properly cooled. This Carrier® replacement TXV valve is designed for use with a constant system temperature of 40°F, and operates most efficiently when adjusted to maintain the inside temperature between 55°F and 75°F.

This Carrier TXV is designed to replace the Feb/Mar ACM0825016, and Delco 16-85261 TXV valve. It is a single stage 4" gauge pressure drop and will replace the two stage modulating valves. You should only install a single stage pressure control valve if your home is equipped with a heat pump or two stage furnace/boiler combination that can maintain constant comfort levels via demand control operation. This is typical of temperatures above 60 degrees F and below -10 degrees F. If your furnace cannot vary the output, this unit must be replaced by a 2-stage thermostatic expansion
