VALVE RELIEF

This valve relief opens automatically, eliminating the need to relieve pressure manually in the event that a hydronic piping system pump shuts off. The relief valve is fabricated from forged brass and is designed to be mounted above or below the horizontal center line of a hydronic piping system. This part should not be installed in series with a gate valve. The relief valve must only be used on fluid temperatures up to 210ºF (99ºC).

Our Carrier/Bryant Relief Valve has been designed to work with Carrier boilers manufactured after 01/01/2010 and Bryant boilers manufactured after 01/01/2006. This relief valve is designed to safely relieve water pressure from inside your boiler if there is a leak or rupture in one of the pipes.

Relief valve for carrier heat pump equipment. Allows over-pressurization of the refrigerant system to be released in a controlled manner. Can be installed in the piping at an "L" connector or branch.

The Carrier 297738 relief valve features a 1/4 inch NPT female inlet and outlet ports, thermoplastic housing with sifter mesh, and an adjustment screw. This relief valve has a burst pressure range of 150 psi to 1,000 psi and a relieving capacity between six and 24 gallons per minute.
