SUPPLY AIR SENSOR

Mounted directly outside of the unit, the SUPPLY AIR SENSOR detects outdoor temperature and humidity, sends an analog signal to the thermostat, and allows the control board to set cycling and blower speeds to meet your comfort needs. As a result, the indoor unit runs more efficiently than with conventional thermostats and can use as much as 20% less energy.

The Supply Air Sensor is used to sense the temperature in the supply air stream before it reaches the humidifier. The sensor provides a signal output to be used for display and control.

The Supply Air Sensor monitors and adjusts the temperature of the air inside of the house to keep it consistent with the desired set point. It does this by monitoring the supply air temperature in relation to its set point, and then adjusting airflow up or down as required.

This 6 in. supply air sensor, part number 480-051 or 196-051, provides for accurate temperature sensing in heating and cooling applications by converting temperature differential to an electric control signal. It is primarily used in forced air systems such as split system air conditioners and furnaces when field wiring a stat duct controller. It may also be used in three- way applications when installing a reed switch.

Integrated with each EWC Supplier Air Sensor is a unique lightguide that provides instant visual confirmation of the air supply system status to the operator. The yellow and red indicator lights on either side of the sensor can be easily observed, from up to 15 meters (50 feet) away, allowing for fast, effective response times if an issue arises with airflow.
