DETECT-A-FIRE 225F
The DETECT-A-FIRE D513045 is a 125V-AC Fire Detection Sensor which when used in combination with a Series D513045, 225F Heat Sensor, 250V-AC 120/240 VAC Transformer and E27121 Extended Trip Time Plug provides a complete Thermal Detector System for use with circuit breakers that require CL 50 delay.
If an electrical fire is detected, the automatic fire alarm system notifies the fire department that a material flash fire has occurred at your facility. Each DETECT-A-FIRE® Fire Alarm from Fenwal Corporation contains five signal circuits, three of which are used for the detection of flame. The DETECT-A-FIRE Fire Alarm also has an internal amplifier circuit that provides integral announcement capability by means of a gong/strobe output and a sound powered telephone interface.
The DETECT-A-FIRE® 125VAC Sensor is designed for use with the popular Fenwal 12-E27121 Detector-Fire® series fire detection systems. The Sensor module is manufactured of glass filled nylon housing that can be either wall (ceiling) or direct (fixed) mounted.
The DETECT-A-FIRE is used to provide additional protection against fire caused by an arc flash and must be installed in accordance with NFPA 70E. The DETECT-A-FIRE system controls ignition sources through the use of a magnetic latching relay. A magnetic reed switch mounted on a panel senses an arc connection. A latching relay is energized for a specified time interval.
DETECT-A-FIRE gas and smoke sensors are a necessity for any home. A small amount of ionizing radiation is emitted from the radioactive source inside each DETECT-A-FIRE sensor. When this radiation comes in contact with air, smoke particles, or a flame, it is absorbed by the particles or flames. The new DETECT-A-FIRE sensor contains a glass semi-conductor chip that converts these impulses into an electrical current. The microprocessor inside each sensor picks up on this current change and alerts the user to a potential fire or carbon monoxide.
Fenwal's oil-filled DETECT-A-FIRE (D513045) is designed to detect the presence of smoke produced during a fire. A photoelectric smoke sensor detects smoke and sends a signal to a warning light or appliance control contacts. The D513045 comes with a pre-wired power cable rated for 120-volt AC applications.
New Detect-A-Fire Detector detects flaming fires and smoke unlike any other detector on the market. It can be used in all applications from 2" to 6" gas piping and has a 10' CRKT™ brand hose assembly with 5/8" threaded steel nipple.
