The FILTER, PLASTIC WASHABLE performs the following two functions: 1) It is washable. 2) It filters water before the water enters the tank. The FILTER, PLASTIC WASHABLE is designed to fit Amana appliance models FIL36-42, and 36-42-05. Amana recommends that a replacement be installed every three months or upon a noticeable reduction in water pressure when the washer is in operation.
