This small, surface mounted reset controller is installed inside the cabinet of a fire alarm system. It selectively resets 120V devices such as heat detectors and photoelectric smoke detectors in selected areas without the need for wiring these devices to the system\'s control panel. The New Flame Safeguard CHASIS Controller is an integral part of a series of solutions which go beyond traditional fire alarm supervision.

The MEC120R is a 120V Fireye chassis, with no pump, mounted on an 18' single-phase cord reel. It contains a one manual fire extinguisher, and a remote reset power controller capable of being accessed at junction boxes or from the ground.

This compact control is designed for use in applications that require 120V power. Features include Bright LEDs for indication, Remote reset button with a maximum reset distance of 35', and Delayed power off with a maximum delay of 10 minutes.

The NEW MEC120R chassis features the new Flame Safeguard circuit and has a new way to reset. Fireye has added an industry first, Reset by Wire® in its remote reset controllers to have this feature to reset fire alarm systems without having to be at the site. The remote reset controller with Flame Safeguard is compliant with UL Standard 56.

The FLAME SAFEGUARD Remote Reset Controller (RCR) with visual indicators monitors heating equipment and is used primarily to minimize unnecessary shutdowns. It is designed for easy installation onto a 120V 15A electrical box, onto the front panel of a mounting enclosure, or into a junction box. The RCR has safety features, which include limiting circuit current to 30 MA maximum and automatically resetting after a 20-second, nonlatching delay that ensures there are no residual currents before an operator can reset the control. The FLAME SAFEGUARD MEC120 is approved for fire, life and safety applications requiring 120VAC thermal protection. The dual output remote reset controller is designed to be used in conjunction with low energy pilot thermopile sensor systems. The unit is pre-wired to accept a thermopile sensor with trigger and discharge output terminals. The controller provides manual reset of the pilot from the local control panel as well as remote reset capability using the 300 ft remote cable provided.
