The MERT4 is our 4-channel, alternating series, 3-second fire alarm recertification time (FFRT) tester with temperature measurement.

The MK4 is a 4-in, 8-out flame rectified amp with Photocell. It can be used for long-duration low current flame and photocell applications where AC mains power is not available. An FFAK power supply is required (see Accessories tab). Any version of the MFA product cannot be used as an amplifier or in conjunction with an NTC (negative temperature coefficient) or PTC (positive temperature coefficient) sensor to control ignition or reignition of a flame. Use with an MJEAS or MJEAC sensor for safety sensitive applications.

The FlameRod™ is specifically designed to eliminate the manual reading of flame rod thermocouples. Using non-visible infrared rays that penetrate flames to a 1" depth, the FlameRod™ can detect flame or no flame with .5 second response time.

The MERT-4 is a 4' Flame Rod/photocell Amplified Smoke andFire Alarm. It provides fire protection in areas that require a total smoke detector coverage (TMD). The low smolder sensitivity makes it suitable for mattresses and upholstery. This unit is recommended for Class "B" commercial building applications.

Fireye's MERT4 Flame Rod/ Photocell Amp is the perfect solution for industries looking to protect their assets from fiery hazards, including refineries, chemical plants, and manufacturing. This Flame Rod/ Photocell Amp combo provides immediate response protection against fires breaking out on flammable liquid product lines without false alarms being raised from vapors. The package not only includes a Flame Rod but also a photoelectric cell. With four outputs available, it is an ideal choice for when two or three separate extinguishing systems are needed at a common junction.

In areas of increased fire hazard, when flames cannot be seen and heat is not available, FlameRods can provide a solution for detection and activation of sprinklers. The MERT4 is suitable for ceilings up to 35 feet with only four units per zone. Only 4 1/2 inch overall height due to the nozzle at the bottom of the housing.

The MERT4 is a single pole "flame rod" or "photocell amplifier" to be used in conjunction with the fireye 6400 series def rf-nets or control panels, or other similar systems. The MERT4 converts a single "flame rod input to four wire grounded audio out.
