For better mulching of grass clippings and other loose debris, this mulcher base has a simple, but effective innovative design - 12 blades that cut material into small cubes of up to 3/16" in diameter. On the front of the HUB-LAPBAR PIVO you will find three curved steel struts, or I-beams. These are also known as lapbars. Attached to these I-beams are a pair of spring-loaded rollers, and the gears that make them turn.
