The Goodman OEM Furnace Replacement Limit Switch, L240 is an easy-to-install thermal safety device that protects the furnace from burnout if excessive heat is generated in the flue. The Limit Switch is activated if the excessive temperature remains for more than 4 seconds and interrupts power to the furnace until reset (by depressing the push button on the switch)
The Goodman OEM furnace replacement limit switch, L240 is a quick acting limit switch that is used to limit the temperature or excess current in a furnace. When the power fails or the limit control becomes defective this part must be replaced immediately.

The 2480692 limit switch installs on the exhaust duct elbow to indicate when the flame sensor is covered by fresh air. This Goodman limit switch uses a thermal cut-out to stop the gas supply to the gas valve when a short cycle is detected. Each limit switch includes 3/8" male threads on both sides of the body for easy installation.
