The new Rapido Smartbox Universal Rough-In Box, StarLight Chrome is the 1st of its kind to unify Grohe's G versions and their conventional systems. It is designed to fit all current Grohe universal components, as well as future products that will be developed with a conventional connection system.

The Grohe Smartbox Universal rough-in box is installed as part of the new construction process, and the individual faucets select their preferred mode through radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Each faucet has its own RFID tag, so there is no danger that two RFID devices can be accidentally assigned to one water supply. The RFID system thus guarantees 100% compatibility between faucet and rough-in valve. It also allows convenient programming of all functions from the control unit in one operation.

The GL520l from Grohe is a double tap, single lever deck mounted kitchen mixer with StarLight chrome finish. The Rapido Smartbox universal rough-in box blends perfectly with the stainless steel or chrome finishes of the mixer and complements any kitchen decor.
