Heat Pump Defrost Sensor - 25 x 20 mm - Frost - Carrier
A defrost sensor monitors the refrigerant temperature in a heat pump. Most defrost sensors are mounted on the coil, or near the coil, inside the condensing unit. Unit will shut off if the defrost sensor detects a continuous loss of heat and frost has built up on the evaporator coil. If this occurs at extreme temperatures, it could damage the compressor (ON/OFF control board) or burn out the circuit board (THERMOSTAT).
Keep your Carrier Carrier heat pump in proper operating condition by replacing your defrost sensor. This Carrier OEM replacement sensor senses when the defrost cycle is complete and shuts off the heating circuit before other parts of your heating or air conditioning unit are damaged.
This Carrier replace part is used to sense when a defrost cycle needs to be activated. This part is compatible with Carrier heat pumps that use the N87 controls.
