For the home, the Hi-Limit Thermostat 413840-1 replaces a standard 25-30 amp cartridge thermostat. Measuring 2-1/4" diameter by 1-3/8" deep, it is designed to fit in most panel boxes. Ideal for use with one or more furnaces or central air conditioning equipment on systems where higher temperatures are required, such as homes with forced hot air.

Hi-Limit Thermostat 413840-1 Hi-Limit Thermostats are designed for use with the VULCAN Gas Utility Company Furnaces. Thru-wall mounting allows this thermostat to mount inside the furnace cavity rather than in a separate air outlet box. This economical thermostat is compatible with gas furnaces up to 75,000 BTU. The compact design allows mounting in tight spaces and eliminates additional hole cutting for older furnaces.

The Hi-Limit Thermostat provides a factory preset 90°F temperature, which can be easily adjusted to any setting between 75°F and 90°F with the simple turn of a dial. This unit includes a wiring harness that allows you to connect the thermostat to your oven's built-in switch.

The Hi-Limit Thermostat should be replaced if the furnace igniter glows continuously or all of a sudden, the high limit trips frequently due to dirty or clogged vents, when the thermostat is replaced for servicing, or if your furnace does not ignite properly. You should also replace this part if your problem cannot be corrected by cleaning or adjusting the limit control. Some furnaces will not operate without this part.
