Carrier's WINTER START CONTROL allows you to start your air conditioner 5-15 degrees cooler resulting in energy savings, fewer heating cycles, and increased comfort. This feature is available on certain models.

The Carrier WINTER START CONTROL™ is a high-performance, easy to install outdoor air control for natural gas furnaces and central air conditioners. The auto-adjusting device automatically reduces the amount of natural gas that flows into your home in response to colder outside temperatures. Using up to 30 percent less gas throughout the winter, the device also helps protect you from extreme temperature swings, which can cause costly damage to your furnace and other heating system components.

The Carrier WINTER START CONTROL is perfect for those who want to save money on their heating bill and also prevent their furnace from freezing up during the winter. With a simple ON/OFF switch it allows you to be totally in control as to when the furnace will start and as such, when you will need to use your thermostat, extending it's working life and reducing costs. Most furnaces stop themselves automatically when the temperature falls below 38° F so they aren't working at all if the mercury dips below freezing. This is perfectly acceptable and saves energy and wear and tear on your furnace. It doesn't take much

WINTER START CONTROL: Cold weather demands an extra measure of engine protection. The system allows the vehicle to start and idle more quickly on cold mornings as the block heater warms the engine faster than before.

The Carrier Smart Thermostat is compatible with all residential heating and cooling systems including those with electric heat. The WINTER START CONTROL feature helps the system to quickly return to preset temperatures on first use, reducing the likelihood of calling for heating or cooling when there is no one home. Carrier compatible smart thermostats also offer pre-scheduled times for temperature changes and can be controlled remotely from a Smartphone. Use your existing thermostat power supply connection to provide power to the thermostat.

Our Carrier Winter Start Control features increased system corrosion resistance, improved wiring and connectors, and a new LC1 remote control that is easier to use and understand. It is compatible with existing heat pump systems that use R-410A refrigerant.
