The iBox universal is the first and only basic set for Hansgrohe concealed manual and thermostatic solutions. Its features are just as varied as the number of possible uses. It creates more space and freedom of movement and is quick and easy to install. It has a flexible configuration that ensures enough water supply to multiple shower outlets that include the showerhead, tub spout, hand shower and body sprays.
The Hansgrohe iBox universal product contains the following:

- Turn on the connection and secure the Hansgrohe iBox universal in the vice using a piece of pipe with a G3/4 thread.
- Make sure the iBox universal is in the right position. This makes it easy to level out the iBox universal using the attached positioning tools.
- The iBox universal is designed to easily match any of the standard pipe systems—fittings can be pressed directly against the iBox universal.
- The iBox universal has standard flushing to DIN 1988. With the flush block that is included, it is possible to flush the pipes in any of the targeted directions.
- The iBox universal has a plug for the Exafill outlet. This ensures that after testing the pipe system and filling the bath, the pressure in the pipe system is maintained even after the water to the intake is switched off.
- The iBox universal has a 127mm drill. The circular shape of the Hansgrohe iBox universal makes it easy to make cutouts in the wall-covering or tiles when using a drill.
- Seal the cuff for wall front installation. This ensures no leaks with the wall front installation, and the sealing cuff is pushed into the PCI Lastaguman on the wall (or a similar sealant that complies with the manufacturer's information).
Hansgrohe iBox universal problems
If the iBox universal is installed too shallowly, this can cause problems. This can be seen after installing the Hansgrohe thermostatic valve trim and volume control.
The white rubber carrier plate is left showing underneath the escutcheon, or when the sleeves for the handles are much longer than the scale drawing of the product. The only way to fix this is to have the rough removed and reset. You can always contact a professional if you need help!
