Hansgrohe Shower Handle Removal

The Hansgrohe shower handles normally have a set of screws that hold them together. The screws are usually hidden below a lever, or concealed behind a decorative cup. You might not be able to locate the set of screws on the shower handles. Follow this guide to learn how to remove the Hansgrohe shower handles with ease, and without causing any damage!

How to remove the Hansgrohe shower handle

Tools

Flat-head screwdriver
Hex key
Channel locks
Small and thick rag piece

1. Identify the exact type of model for your shower handle, and keep a note of it.

2. Make sure you completely stop the flow of water from the main source.

3. Using a rag, plug in the shower drain to prevent any screws from going down the drain.

4. Look for any accessible grooves which might fit the size of a flat-head screwdriver. Place your flat-head screwdriver into the grooves, and apply some firm pressure. A protective cup may pop out and reveal screws or nuts which normally hold the handle in place. If you do not find any grooves, move on to the next step.

5. Remove the decorative cup by grasping it firmly and twisting it back and forth. You can use a flat-head screwdriver to help remove the cup. You should be able to see the screws—remove the screws using a hex key. Set the screws aside safely. (Don’t lose them!)

6. Remove the handle by grasping it with your hand and pulling it off.
