Introduction
Choosing the right toilet involves more than flushing performance alone. Water efficiency, cleaning, comfort, installation requirements, and long-term maintenance all contribute to the overall bathroom experience. The TOTO® Drake 2Pc Toilet W/ Seat 1.28&0.8 CEFIONTECT® + MS746124CEMG01 combines TOTO's proven Drake design with high-efficiency dual flushing, CEFIONTECT® ceramic glaze, and a SoftClose® seat for a practical upgrade to the modern bathroom.
Designed with DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH® technology and compatibility with TOTO WASHLET®+ systems, this two-piece toilet offers a combination of dependable flushing performance, water efficiency, easier cleaning, and future-ready bidet compatibility.
Product Overview
The TOTO® Drake MS746124CEMG is a two-piece elongated toilet featuring a high-efficiency dual-flush system, CEFIONTECT® ceramic glaze, DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH®, and a 12-inch rough-in. The configuration includes a SoftClose® seat and is designed to accommodate a compatible WASHLET®+ system.
The dual-flush system provides 1.28 GPF and 0.8 GPF options, giving users two water-volume choices for everyday use. DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH® creates a powerful swirling action around the bowl to provide thorough rinsing and effective waste removal.
CEFIONTECT® ceramic glaze adds another practical advantage by creating an ultra-smooth surface that helps reduce the adhesion of waste and debris. This can make routine cleaning easier while helping the bowl maintain a cleaner appearance between cleanings.
For homeowners interested in bidet functionality, the toilet's WASHLET®+ compatibility provides a path to add a compatible electronic bidet seat. This allows the bathroom to be upgraded later without replacing the toilet itself, provided the selected WASHLET® model is compatible with the configuration.

Key Features Explained
DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH® Technology
DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH® uses a powerful swirling action to distribute water around the bowl for thorough rinsing. The system is designed to provide effective waste removal while helping reduce residue and buildup during everyday use.
Dual-Flush Water Efficiency
The Drake provides two flush-volume options: 1.28 gallons per flush and 0.8 gallons per flush. This dual-flush design gives users flexibility in water usage and can help reduce overall household consumption compared with toilets that use a higher volume for every flush.
CEFIONTECT® Ceramic Glaze
CEFIONTECT® is TOTO's ultra-smooth ceramic glaze designed to help prevent waste, dirt, and other particles from sticking to the bowl surface. By reducing adhesion and buildup, the finish can make routine cleaning more manageable. Appropriate non-abrasive cleaning methods should be used to help protect the ceramic surface.
SoftClose® Seat
The included SS124 SoftClose® seat is designed to close gradually and quietly, helping reduce the noise and impact associated with a conventional toilet seat being dropped. It adds a simple comfort feature without the complexity of an electronic seat.
WASHLET®+ Compatibility
One of the more flexible aspects of this configuration is its compatibility with WASHLET®+ systems. The toilet is designed to accommodate the addition of an electronic bidet seat, allowing homeowners to add features such as warm-water cleansing, heated seating, adjustable settings, and other WASHLET® functions depending on the selected model.
Importantly, the electronic WASHLET® is not the same as the included SoftClose® seat. Buyers considering a WASHLET® upgrade should verify the exact compatible model, included components, electrical requirements, and installation requirements before purchasing.
Two-Piece Elongated Design
The two-piece configuration separates the tank and bowl, using a familiar installation format for residential bathrooms. The elongated bowl provides a traditional comfortable shape, while the 12-inch rough-in accommodates many standard bathroom layouts. Existing plumbing dimensions should always be verified before installation.
Pros and Considerations
What we like:
- Water efficiency: The 1.28 and 0.8 GPF dual-flush system provides two water-use options and can help reduce overall household consumption.
- Powerful flushing: DYNAMAX TORNADO FLUSH® provides comprehensive bowl rinsing designed for dependable everyday performance.
- Easier cleaning: CEFIONTECT® creates a smooth ceramic surface that helps reduce the adhesion of waste and debris.
- Quiet seat closing: The included SoftClose® seat closes gradually to reduce slamming and unnecessary noise.
- WASHLET®+ ready: The toilet is designed to accommodate a compatible WASHLET®+ system for homeowners who want to add electronic bidet functionality.
- Flexible upgrade path: Homeowners can start with the included SoftClose® seat and add compatible WASHLET® functionality later if desired.
- Standard rough-in: The 12-inch rough-in works with many common residential bathroom layouts.
Things to consider:
- WASHLET® is an additional consideration: The MS746124CEMG includes a SoftClose® seat; an electronic WASHLET® system is a separate component and should be purchased only after compatibility is confirmed.
- Electrical planning: Adding an electronic WASHLET® requires an appropriate electrical connection. Buyers should confirm the electrical and GFCI requirements for the specific WASHLET® model.
- Installation planning: Homeowners replacing an existing toilet should verify the rough-in, available space, water connection, and any electrical requirements associated with a future WASHLET® installation.
- Higher cost for a full WASHLET® setup: Adding an electronic WASHLET® increases the total investment compared with using the included SoftClose® seat.
- Compatibility: Not every WASHLET® model has the same features or installation requirements. Confirm compatibility before purchasing an electronic seat.
