The general purpose DPDT ON-OFF-ON, pilot duty switching is a double coil, 24V AC relay. The HONEYWELL-US818D24RP1 is a double-pole, single throw switch. The DPDT pilot relay has spring-loaded contacts to keep them from bouncing on contact opening.

For switching applications in 24V AC systems the General Purpose Relay is designed with a number of features including a micro-switch actuator and double pole, double throw (DPDT) contacts. The contacts can be operated with low coil current loads, typically around 0.3A and are capable of handling 24V AC loads up to 3A, or 28V DC loads up to 2A.

This double pole, double throw (DPDT) relay is designed to switch electrical power for small loads. The SPDT relay has four terminals. When the coil is energized, the normally-open contact of one pole will close. When the coil current is interrupted, that contact will open. The coil should be de-energized before changing connections to prevent damaging the contacts.

This general purpose pilot duty switching relay can be used to control a variety of AC and DC loads where automatic adjustment of the load's state is needed.
