The HONEYWELL 2P2R2636 is a double pole double throw (DPDT) AC relay with positive, pilot or latching contacts. It is suitable for control applications requiring manual reset devices such as Push-to-Start switches. The 2P2R2636 is operated from 24 VAC and has connections for two coils. It meets requirements of automotive, industrial, and commercial applications where precise time delay switching is needed. This DPDT switch requires an external 5–30 VDC power source to operate the coil.

The 2636 has dual pilot contacts that can be used to switch a 24 V ac power source, or combined with the relay's internal coil to function as a double pole 1-wire dc switch. It can operate 85% of its rated current at up to 60 V dc or 12 V ac. When wired as a dc switch, the contacts are normally open and close when the relay is energized by an external power source. The control is not latched and remains in whatever state it was placed in by the voltage spike until it is manually reset. An override input allows control of the relay while it is energized.
