The Honeywell L8148E1265 Aquastat Relay with Remote Bulb - Cover off - 6 inch - /U (L8148E-c1) is a low voltage burner automatic shut off and safety control device for use in water heater installations.When the ambient temperature around the thermostat reaches a certain level that is defined by the installer, the bi-metalic strip starts to contract until it reaches a terminal at which point the power supply is interrupted.

It also has an optional remote bulb that will let you know if there is a problem with the system even if you aren't home.

The Honeywell L8148E-C1 AQUASTAT Relay with Remote Bulb helps to detect electrical faults in a low voltage system. It provides a visual indication when a problem is detected, and helps limit dangerous short circuits. This relay is used to detect dry contacts on the aquastat.

The Honeywell L8148E-C1/U is a #Aquastat water system relay board. This low voltage board can handle 2 or 3 wire low voltage, 120 or 240 volts, 1/13 amps. It has two one-fourth inch mounting holes to mount it to the wall of your home, and uses a 9 volt battery power supply that comes standard with every board.
