The DTAV40E2 Defrost Timer is part of the Intermatic Defrost Timer (DTA) Series. It is used to provide time delayed, low amperage power to operate small heating equipment. This microprocessor based device monitors the average load current and will automatically reset once per 24-hour period so that it can be used in conjunction with automatic defrost cycles.

The DTAV 40E2 is a time and day programmable auto-voltage electronic defrost timer designed to operate up to 40 Amps of type 3R outdoor shrink wrap, aluminum or plastic piped type heat equipment. The timer features an easy to read digital display with push button controls and a lock button. It features dual reminder settings, each of which can be set to sound an alarm for 10 minutes or 120 minutes before the cycle ends regardless of the cycle length programmed in.
