The Limit Switches are designed for use on reverse cycle Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps. The normal close (N.C.) contact is a current operated switch actuated by a built in thermostat to control the compressor operation. When the temperature reaches 110, the contact will close at approximately 1 amp giving false indication of a compressor failure. When the temperature drops below 90F (32C) the contact opens allowing the compressor to start again.
