IOGEAR's GUS404 is a 4X4 USB Peripheral Sharing Switch that allows up to four computers to share up to four USB devices. It eliminates the need for a hub or a USB extension cable by directly connecting each computer to the GUS404. The GUS404 provides additional connectors for an additional four USB devices which can be used for printers, scanners, joysticks, etc. In order to provide this high level of flexibility, the GUS404 is powered from one of the "host" computer's USB connection. The two lead wires from this computer are attached to GUS404 controller.
