The Ultima Bilge pump is a 12-volt bilge pump with a float switch. A higher maximum flow rate means you can use the retrofit directly on outboard motors, which typically require a minimum of 750 gallons per hour. The rugged plastic body won't rust or corrode to give you long-term reliability. It includes vent ports for easier installation, and they're often placed in vital areas of the pump to minimize time consuming head scratching about where the vent line connects or if a strainer should be installed in the vent line (there is a strainer inside).
