An electronic single-stage temperature control with galvanic isolation for heating and air conditioning equipment protection. Its potted case and junction box are connected only through wiring and conduit connection boxes. The potted case of the control provides protection against solid or liquid ingress to permit mounting in a vertical position on a wall or in an enclosure.

The Johnson Controls® 317630 electronic temperature control is a fixed, externally adjusted, single stage unit. It is constructed with a stainless steel front cover and aluminum body in a NEMA 4X enclosure, to offer protection in extreme environments. The adjustment knob is made of a metal compound for long life and durability, and the LED display has three selectable alarms to alert the user of alarm conditions. It also offers an adjustable high limit control for temperature protection and automatic restart.

The 317630 electronic temperature control uses solid state electronics to control 120 or 208/230V, 50/60Hz single stage heating. The thermostat features a +/-3 degree full-load accuracy. Control includes mounting bracket, cover plate, and two anchor screws.

The 317630 is a ½" NPT, single stage multifunction electronic controller. The NC (optional) and NO contacts are rated 20A at 125VAC and are electrically isolated from the contacts by a transformer. The controller features an easy to read digital display with switches for 3, 4 and 5 wire applications. This controller may be used with heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment or heat exchange equipment as well as vending machines, water booster pumps and many other types of temperature control devices.
