LOW FLOW RATE FLOW SWITCH 1/2 X 1/2 FEMALE NPTF FT

The Johnson Controls 7832 flow switch, with GEM series terminals, model IC7832, is a 1/2 x 1/2 NPT female flow switch. It has 1/8" (3 mm) male pipe threads and a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi.

Low Water Flow Rate Systems are designed to limit water flow to a predetermined level. These flow switches and restrictors are intended for use by a building manager or maintenance person to reduce the water flow to a minimum level at which building equipment can maintain operation, while preventing the excessive use of water.

This low flow rate restrictor switch is the best choice for residential applications or applications where low flow rates are desirable. Its adjustable pressure control relief valve makes it easy to adjust and set at a desired flow rate. It is a non-latching, spring-return pressure control type switch that includes an integral bypass check valve and three way flow divider.

This model 7832-FPN is a standard flow low pressure switch with both male and female brass threads. The 1/2" female pipe thread has a maximum temperature rating of 250°F. It is available in either an on or off configuration.

Overflows can be hazardous to sensitive electrical and electronic equipment. If the flow rate of a liquid within a system exceeds the capacity of the system, then it will overflow and cause severe damage to its components. Johnson Control's low flow rate switches are used to sense this condition by monitoring an orifice, float, turbine meter or other flow measuring device which activates an alarm in the event of a high/low water level or abnormal flow rate.

The Flow Switch is designed for use by process engineers to monitor the flow of liquids, gases, and slurries in closed systems, such as cooling towers, catch basins, mixers, heat exchangers, and other industrial processes. The Flow Switch is available in a variety of models to prevent overflow or underflow conditions in piping systems. It can be inserted directly into the flow stream using fittings up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter or can be installed remotely from a valve or pump with tubing.

Johnson Controls 7832 Flow Switches provide control of liquids such as water, glycol, and oil. Operating temperature ranges from –5° to 80°C (-41° to 176°F), while the pressure range is 5 to 25 psi [34.5 to 175 kPa (3.4 to 17 bar)].
