It is a compact, surface-mounted closer with a 375-pound (170 kg) maximum closing force and 180 pounds (82 kg) minimum closing force. The closer's rugged construction makes it suitable for use in hazardous locations.

The Johnson Controls P100DC-3 , Inc. P100DC3 375# OPEN-RISE, MAN RESET is a control device that can be used to control the rise and/or fall of an open loop load or a combination of closed and open loop loads. The load terminal is wired in series with the load and in parallel with the indicating switch. This allows for circuit current to flow through the indicating switch contacts which are rated at 125 VAC, .5A (resistive) or 175 VAC, .25A (inductive). Manual reset only.

The Johnson Controls P100DC-3 is an intrinsically safe explosion proof air pressure switch that activates a contactor in response to the differential pressure across the diaphragm.
