Justrite™ Safety Can 420212 has been designed for use with a variety of flammable liquids. The can is constructed of type 316 (s/s) stainless steel, and has a welded, leakproof galvanized steel opening cover. It features a large ID zone and a 9" (229 mm) flexible metal nozzle. It meets OSHA & NFPA specifications for containment of flammable and combustible liquids.
The ASTM D-2719-95 standard for large ID zone safety cans requires a 7" "zone of protection" on flammable and combustible liquids, and the NFPA Code 30 requires a 7.5" zone of protection on these types of materials. This can meets the ASTM D-2719 Standard, which is the government standard, as well as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 30 Standard. The NFPA Code 30 Standard is more stringent than the ASTM D-2719 Standard.
Use for liquids which are non-combustible, have a flash point of 141°F (60°C) or higher and have a specific gravity of 0.85 or greater.
