The KASON® - 10172B00006;LATCH WITH STRIKE (221094) is a premium quality, heavy duty latch with pick resistant features that can be used with either Kwikset or Dexter knobs and levers to provide outstanding security.

Our Kason 10172B00006 latch and strike kit allows you to convert a regular screen door into a pet and child-proof door for your home. Built to fit specific Kason screens, simply use the included stainless steel screws to connect to your door. With both the latch and strike kit included, this kit will protect your home from unwelcome visitors.

Kason 10172B00006 latch is 2.5 inches long, 1 inch in diameter. It includes strike plate and screws.

The 221094 latch is used on Kason® vented windows 10472, 10472A or 10473. The strike plate is 10172B000006.

Latch Style: Latches With Strike

Assemble a latch-and-strike set for a wood door by first inserting the striker into a hole at the edge of a door. We recommend using a drill to assist with this step. Once the striker is holding the weight of the door, push the latch into place. The latch may also be installed using a power ring tool if desired. After you've installed the strike and latch properly, install the fastener (that ships with each set) onto each side of the door to permanently hold them in place.

Latches work with a strike plate to keep a sash from being opened. Standard latch systems include a thumb turn on the inside of the door, an outside escutcheon placed horizontally, and a latch placement vertically on the center stile. Latch systems can be used on all double-hung windows except those that do not have a center stile.
