This ball and socket joint has a fixed connecting diameter of 8 mm, and is primarily used for controlling gas dampers. The zinc-plated steel pivot shaft is mounted in a ball bearing with a clamping bracket, which can be adjusted by hand or secured in the desired position by means of a hexagonal nut or setscrew. The push rod ends can be configured by simply turning the aluminum ball, which makes this component ideal for installation in various types of systems and applications.

These ball and socket joints provide a simple connection between push rod(s) and damper. They can be used for damper control in one-off installations or as an alternative component when suitable compression fittings cannot be used. They are compatible with standard 8mm push rod only, which may be supplied separately.
