This Kwikset 8302315 83023 US15 6AL DEADOLT FOR 258 is an easy to install, fully mechanical push button lock with a 2 in. bolt throw, a 1 in. diameter throwbolt, and a 1 in. throw latchbolt. It features a 2 in. backset and 5-3/8 in. overall height. It is operated by the thumb turn on the outside of the door (thumb turn can be reversed). This deadbolt is suitable for securing entry doors for residential applications utilizing locks with cylindrical or National locksets on both sides of the door

The 83023 15 US15 six-sided deadbolt uses the Medeco BLUMOTION mechanism to allow for full key turn and deadbolt operation simultaneously. The lock comes standard with a five-pin cylinder. The use of the patented Medeco Maxum pin tumbler insures compatibility with other Medeco locks. This feature allows you to change your Kwikset lock easily and quickly into a Medeco lock, and vice versa. It also allows you to re-key the existing lockset without replacing the entire mechanism.

The Kwikset 83023-15 6AL Deadbolt is part of the Touch Lock Series entry door lock family. KW1 is the Keyed Alike version of this product. The 6AL family of locks are designed for use on entry doors.

This 1/2" throw stainless steel deadbolt features a round knob that is comfortable to use while providing a streamlined look. The oval faceplate also provides security by covering the latch mechanism. The handle/lever style will require pre-drilling when used with out-swing applications.
