This is a remote bulb high limit aquastat. It features a manual reset, and is used in hydronic heating applications. A remote bulb high limit will open the circulator when the water temperature rises above the set point, and will close it when it falls below. This unit has a capillary sized for 130/270F.

The 2157 is a remote bulb high limit aquastat with built in manual reset that allows for it to be directly wired into a panel or building wiring system.

The Honeywell 2157 Aquastat is a manual/remote high limit temperature controller for a heating equipment such as a furnace or water heater. Adjust the temperature from your home panel or by using the separate remote probe wirelessly connected to your 2157 with 20 feet of cable attached.

The Honeywell 2157 Aquastat 129/260v 6" with a minimum 660 watt open frame FAN HEATER plus 40 watt 5.5" capillary GLASS JOBBER requires minimum 350 CFM at .1" static pressure and high limit feature (that is similar to a safety valve on a boiler to prevent over-pressure and explosion) has a pigtail wire for grounding and a RED 4" capped exhaust visible from the top-side. In exposed (open) applications further down such as exposed joist or floor applications, this unit could potentially be used. However, not recommended.

The Honeywell 2157 Aquastat 130/270F Open on Rise Manual Reset 66" Capillary Thermostat includes an adjustable high limit switch that allows you to customize your desired water temperature. This easy-to-use ceiling-mount thermostat can be set up for either a top or side plumbing connection and comes preassembled with a mounting strap, wire nuts, and detailed instructions.

This electronic aquastat is designed for use with 130/270F open on rise, capillary thermostats, and includes a manual reset and a 66" (2,03 m) capillary.
