SPDT SNAP-ACTING MERCURY FREE PRESS
The Honeywell 2179 Series Pressuretrol® control utilizes a snap acting mercury free pressure switch. This snap acting unit is responsive to changes in process conditions, and typically will be specified with combination static/dynamic relief valves. The snap action feature may require multiple setups, but can result in greater safety, and greater accuracy for your particular application.
The Honeywell® 2179 series Pressuretrol® high and low pressure switches detect pressure of gas going through a system. The 2179 series feature a polypropylene body, snap-acting SPDT mercury free switch with long life contacts, and steel mounting flange for easy field mounting. There is also a manual reset button for field service, a 3/4" NPT connection for quick assembly to tubing, and an optical gage for easier pressure monitoring.
The Honeywell 2179 is a two or three-stage variable differential pressure controller. Its snap-acting spdt mercury-free working pressure is adjustable from 0 to 25 psi. The 2179 has 4 sets of connections for gas, 2 stages and maximum operating temperature rating of 220, C (446 F). It is protected from sparks/splash, dust, dripping water and condensation.
