Honeywell's AQUASTAT Relay-Low Voltage Burner Circ is designed to monitor the condition of a low voltage burner and then relay the burner ON/OFF status to a Honeywell HFD5.

Relay-Low Volt Burner Circuits Senses Low Voltage_ and modulates the gas valve (thereby modulating the pressure) to meet burner needs. This is accomplished by sensing the voltage across a certain resistance which represents the ohms that is needed for a specific gas pressure. This prevents the burner/valve from shutting off due to lack of voltage at the regulator, which would cause gas starvation to the burner when the main pilot tries to maintain low pressure in order to prevent flooding.
