A Motor Module is a whole house comfort system. The MOTOR MODULE is the heart of your whole house heat pump system. The MOTOR MODULE may include an air handler or an evaporator coil (BAS) or both. Frequently used in combination with a Heat Pump Tank, another energy consuming component that has two functions: to heat and cool simultaneously when cooling is needed or to heat when it is needed and to transfer power to the water heater when heating is needed. The Lennox 10M50 MOTOR MODULE, with powerful Standard Electronic Ignition Technology, is designed for dependable and consistent mechanical operation and longer life. This module includes precision-wound ignition coils that have been treated with a special immersion process of ceramic paint and baked enamel for extra protection.

The 10M50 is a Packaged Motor with approximately 50% thermal Efficiency for up to 2 hours, and 90 minutes at 100% load. This packaged motor is quick and easy to install in residential application, and is available in CWB and WBB Versions, complete with Heat Exchanger, blower, controls for installation of a 6-Speed Geared Motor Drive using the Lennox HiTorque™ Geared Motor II (10SGE132) or any Air Conditioning or Heating Contractor for pre-existing installations. The Lennox 10M50 motor module is a standard equipment genuine replacement part that comes in an OEM box.

This Lennox 10M50 motor module converts a central air conditioner to a 2-stage system and is designed for the Lennox 13-SEER Air Conditioning System. This module contains a variable speed scroll compressor and is capable of operating in heat mode when connected to cooling coils.

The motor module converts voltage and increases the operating current to the heat pump’s blower and compressor through the use of two separate contactors. If one contactor goes out, your system reverts to single-contactor mode so it will still operate. A yellow light on each contactor indicates when an internal failure is about to take place.
