The 12J17 is a double pole, double throw switch relay. This mechanical device has 4 electrical terminals (two are normally open and two are normally closed). The most common applications for the 24V DPDT switch are two-wire control circuits with motor starters, heating equipment and light fixtures.

The DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) N/O Relay has two changeover contacts that are NC (Normally Closed) when switched in one direction and NO (Normally Open) when switched in the other. It is an electrically operated switching device that opens and closes electrical circuit. The relay was originally used as a remote controlled switch.

Sequencer relays are used to control two motors that will run simultaneously. The type of sequential relay is a double pole dual throw, 24 volts, 12 amps at 240 volts AC and a 500 unit per minutes (UPM) of 5/15 watts.

Lennox's new part, 12J17 is a 24VDC DPDT Relay, used primarily on the residential gas furnaces. This featureless board mounts inside the enclosure, making it more difficult to identify from the outside and harder to access for tampering.

The Seq Relay is the ideal relay for lighting control. It can be used for switching 120VAC lamps or lighting loads with outputs ranging from 1A to 3A at 230VAC and 0.5A at 110VAC.
