The Lennox 13Y21 5 Ton Expansion Valve is used in the 4 and 5-Ton AC System for cooling capacity applications. It is designed to be mounted on the liquid line downstream of the pressure reducing valve and upstream of the liquid line service valve, or in the condenser return line where inside air temperature control is required. If installed in the condenser return line, a check valve or expansion tank is required upstream of the expansion valve to prevent reverse flow through the coil when it becomes unpressurized during the off cycle."

The Lennox® HAC-2G10013V10013 is a call point expansion valve for use with 13Y21 5 ton Lennox® hydronic heating systems.

Expansion Valves are designed and built for use with a variety of Lennox residential and light commercial split-system air conditioners where the dehumidification mode is extracted from the ambient air. The Expansion Valve is factory installed in the outdoor unit as a factory-supplied accessory. The EXPANSION VALVE serves to regulate the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil when in dehumidification mode, thus allowing control of the home or commercial space comfort conditions.

The 13Y21 Expansion Valve is factory installed for new furnaces or an upgrade for older Lennox® furnaces. This expansion valve satisfies the requirements of the stringent Standard Performance Specifications and provides a quiet operation typically experienced with Lennox® furnace installations. The sealed precision thermostats are adjustable from 150° f - 180° f. .
