The Lennox Indoor Expansion Valve is designed to be a direct replacement for the oversized and undersized 15-1/2 in. A/C expansion devices commonly found in 1 and 2 car detached houses. This device allows for greater comfort and efficiency when properly installed. Used with variable speed, single stage furnaces, the EPV insures that the indoor fan motor will not start until there is sufficient return air from the main blower. This minimizes fan motor starting current and startup voltage, preventing high in-rush currents during compressor start which causes wear to internal components and premature heating up of air in the ducts

The Lennox® Indoor Expansion Valve, Model No. 14W93 is an indoor, single port, cartridge expansion valve, designed to control the supply of conditioned air into a structure when the outdoor temperature changes .

Designed to keep a Lennox Heat Pump System in check, the indoor expansion valve adjusts the temperature and flow of refrigerant going into your heat pump's outdoor condenser.

This indoor expansion valve, or IVC, is designed to work with any Lennox commercial packaged unit that is using a 1/2 in x 5/8 in refrigerant port. The outdoor air damper operates the IVC remotely, adjusting intake air volume to the system. This allows for the use of low static pressure and/or multiple static pressure systems which may increase the efficiency of your HVAC system.
