The Flame Sensor is a replacement accessory that fits all Lennox Residential heating and cooling systems.

The Flame Sensor is used to monitor the flame in gas-fired bottoms without access to their burners. It detects live or pre-detonation flame events and then transmits an alarm or shutdown signal via control panel wiring. There are no moving parts, so no maintenance is required, other than light cleaning. The Flame Sensor is ideal for use with natural gas, propane, steam and firetube boiler systems.

The Flame Sensor is a safe and cost effective way to prevent furnace issues before they occur. The sensor will help eliminate igniter failure or furnaces that are hard to light. In addition, it will extend the life of your furnace by detecting when the burners are not burning properly and shuts down the furnace until it can be correctly serviced.

The Flame Sensor detects changes in flame height or the shifting of flame patterns as a possible indicator of a gas leak. When used with other detector devices, this may increase the probability of your detecting a potential gas leak in time to prevent a dangerous situation.

The Lennox Flame Sensor provides quick detection and response to harmful hydrocarbon gas fires. By responding to direct flame impingement, this sensor protects you from false alarms due to kitchen range ignition or electrical malfunctions.

The burners and flame sensor are easy to install. The flame sensor is attached to the pipe for the burners. Each burner has a flat-head screw for tightening/loosening brass screws with the hex key that comes with your product.
