This type contains an internal bimetal resistor that will open when the set point is reached, turning the system OFF. It will close again when the temperature goes back below the set point, turning the system ON again. This switch can be used for furnace blower motor control and is rated 4A at 30VAC.

The 56W20 120-150F AUTO limit switch automatically limits the temperature of the heating system in Lennox condensing units to a preset maximum temperature. It allows the system to remain slightly under-fired to prevent overheating.
