The 56W25 220-250 F MAXIMUM AUTO Limit Switch is a Flame Safety Control Limit Switch which automatically controls the gas valve & pilot. This switch is for use with gas logs. The control limit is from 8" to 10" in front of the burner, when thermostat calls for heat. It can be adjusted manually from 8" to 10" at any time. When switched to manual, the switch will remove power from the element and shut off the pilot until manually restored
