The Low Ambient Switch allows the heater to operate at a lower temperature when cooling loads are greater than the available airflow. This allows your furnace or heat pump to run efficiently by utilizing outside air, even when the weather is extremely hot and humid.

The Lennox® Low Ambient Switch is a low ambient air temperature thermostat switch designed to control the heat pump compressor cycle on and off. The function of the Low Ambient Switch is to prevent discharge of refrigerant in warm weather to save energy and prolong the life of your system.

The Lennox 64WH48 Low Ambient Switch is a replacement part for Lennox air conditioners. The switch controls the compressor's indoor fan and the condenser. It can be mounted on a 4-5/8" bracket.
