Lennox 67K30 "™" "™" - 2nd Generation Open Message Board This product is a pressure switch that's used in the air conditioner device.
Lennox® Brand Residential Fan Pressure Switches are used for cooling or heating applications and provide a control for the duct booster fan, attic fans, or other features of a central cooling or heating system. They turn on the fan when the air pressure drops below the pressure setting of the switch (psig). When the air pressure rises to an air-flow-limiting height above the pressure setting (psig), the switch turns off the fan. The normally closed (NC) contacts of the switch are connected in series with the fan motor. Some switches can be set at a fixed position using an adjustment screw.
A pressure switch is a valve installed in water heating equipment that controls the flow of water to other parts of the system. Pressure switches ensure that water is heated appropriately and that blowouts, or dangerous leaks, will not occur. Typical problems include the formation of sludge, sediment buildup, leaks in heating and cooling coils, corrosion and rusting of metal parts, air trapped inside pipes, as well as corrosion due to poor or insufficient contact between the heating head and pot or tank. If your temperature gauge fails to work continuously without stopping, it's possible the pressure switch in your unit is faulty and needs replacing."
