The Lennox 87F16 140F Limit Control can be expected to last between 8-10 years when installed correctly. The 8-year warranty begins at the end of the 10th year. Any related expenses that are the result of poor installation, abuse or neglect are not covered by the 10 year limited warranty.

Use this 140F limit control on all units and systems equipped with 79F or higher outdoor air temperature limits.

Lennox's 87F16 140F Limit Control is designed to automatically maintain gas furnace operation at a selected temperature. It is designed for use with Lennox gas furnaces only and may be used with an electric backup. The 87F16 has been designed to replace existing limit controls, is easy to install, and will protect your heating equipment from overheating.

Lennox® limit controls are designed to self-limit within approximately 5á of 140F (60.0C) in either heating or cooling modes under all conditions encountered. Limit control switching is harsh and audible upon limit conditions such that it is unlikely to be confused with normal cycling operation, thus avoiding possible nuisance trips.

The Lennox® 140°F Limit Control can be used with Split Systems, and offers the ultimate in precise temperature control. Compatible with the LENNOX Crossfire® furnace series.

This Lennox limit control will help you maintain your home's ideal indoor temperature. This 140° limit control is compatible with the following models of Lennox gas fired furnaces: G11, G12, G13, G19, D38S, J41S; and other models containing a Model II C1 or E4 overcurrent relay. Limit controls help prevent overheating of equipment by shutting off gas supply when room temperature reaches specified predetermined set point.
