The 99K40 is a 13-position temperature control expansion valve used on Lennox heat pumps to regulate refrigerant flow through the heat pump and to match electrical power requirements. The 99K40 replaces all previous expansion valves used in Lennox Split Systems driven by 19, 22.5, 30 or 35 kW heating motors – and with the latest low-voltage drive kit, it can replace most all other expansion valves too!

This expansion valve features a single-staged metering of up to 9.5 GPM through a 1/2" stainless steel poppet valve that is guaranteed for the life of the product. It uses an independent spring assembly the isolates differential pressure from system vibration and provides a quiet 100% duty cycle. The SPDT (1NO/1NC) electrical switch allows you to command tripping with or without electrical power present. And it can be used on services with either natural gas, propane, or low-pressure
