The Model 5813 Digital Electronic Thermostat is designed for use on hot water

Designed to be the perfect complement to your existing heating and cooling system, this Marley thermostat can help you save energy whether you're at home or away. It features a programmable set-back function, easy installation in about 30 minutes, no tools required, and an operating range of 40F to 99F (4C to 37C). The easy-to-use design includes a daily screen with Daily High/Low information; Weekly Screen with minimum and maximum temperature readings for the week; monthly screen with high/low temperature readings for each day; and seven-day advance programming.

This thermostat is designed to stop the flow of water or steam to a heater (water heater, furnace, boiler) when a set temperature is reached. This will prevent a harmful overheating condition from occurring and stop the hot water or steam from building up to dangerous pressures.
