The FLAME ROD is a straight, flux-cored, stainless steel rod with the torch supplied by Maxon. The Electrode can be used as both an inner and outer electrode with a range of flux choices ? either unleaded or leaded. The FLAME ROD is great for repairs or final pass on existing work. Maxon recommends using the FLAME ROD in combination with its new 408® torch for exceptional welding performance.
