A Direct-Coupled Non-Spring Return Actuator provides a reliable low cost solution for adjusting the retractable landing gear of general aviation aircraft. The main application is to maintain the landing gear down and out at touchdown.

The Direct Coupled Actuator provides climate control of heating, fans and air conditioners - free from annoying contactor chatter. The non-spring return direct coupled actuator is a low level control component for use in 24 volt HVAC applications. Convenient and cost effective alternative to spring return actuators as they are direct coupled and eliminate troublesome springs.

The 10619 4-way Direct Coupled Actuators are designed for use in industrial automation applications where proportional load transfer and direct coupling to a control signal is required. The standard product is non-spring wound and is available in 4", 6", 8" and 12" strokes. The damper actuator operates over an exceptionally wide range of temperatures (-40º to 176ºF) with no degradation of performance. Because the return spring is directly incorporated into the actuator, there are no external springs or adjustments that need periodic maintenance.

The 10619 utilizes DuraClutch™ technology for a unique, non-spring return damper actuator for positioning and damping applications that require precise control. The operating torque is linear over the operating range, eliminating high / low power and speed ranges associated with conventional non-spring return damper actuators.
